Information regarding Ebola
We have a great deal of resources to share with you today regarding Ebola preparedness and planning. In order to get all of the attachments to go across, I am sending these in 3 separate emails. This is 1/3. Please share broadly.
Attached placards intended to be posted in hospitals, clinics, EMS systems (ambulances, stations) and other places where healthcare is provided. The placards are intended to be posted in patient reception areas in a way that is conspicuously visible to all healthcare personnel working in the area to remind them of the need to obtain a travel history from all patients presenting with fever or unexplained illness and to remind them of the criteria which, if met, should prompt suspicion of Ebola as a possible diagnosis and further investigative and protective actions.
These placard are also being distributed to local health departments and HPP coalitions who are asked to actively share and discuss the materials with as many healthcare facilities/providers and EMS systems as they practically can within their jurisdictions.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
